Getting a Refund

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that you are entitled to a refund for rejected goods, but it is not always so easy to get your money back. As a consumer, prior to purchasing goods or services from a business you generally have to agree to their terms and conditions. On the other hand, businesses and service providers have a duty to the public to ensure that their goods are fit for purpose and comply with Trading Standard regulations. They also must ensure that their goods and services are sold as described. This is not always the case though. J K Advice Centre will help resolve your dispute whether you are making a complaint or defending one. We will do so as economically and efficiently as possible.

Selling and Buying Faulty Goods

On buying goods or services from a business, consumer Law states that certain rights apply as to the conformity of the goods, to the description advertised, to the level of satisfaction and quality and to fitness for purpose.

These rights are outlined in the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982. They have been incorporated into the Consumer Rights Act since 1st October 2015.

Yet, when trying to get a retailer to listen to your dissatisfaction or problem and also trying to exercise you legal rights is easier said than done.

If you feel your consumer rights have been infringed, JK Advice Centre is here to help and guide you so that you will receive the correct answers.
