About Us

We are an independent and private advice centre, with an extensive knowledge of the UK welfare system. Established by two partners, JK Advice Centre addresses a need for advice centres to care about society and we are passionate about collaborating with the community.

In light of the ongoing financial crisis, legal aid cut and a general shortage of resources, JK Advice Centre created a place to provide the public the choice of affordable advice; a service the company felt was desperately needed. We all know how costly a high street law firm can be, with fees out of reach to most people. When people need advice or information, or consultation and guidance, on any issues they’re facing, JK Advice Centre comes in!

Company Values

We assist those seeking fair justice who are not eligible for legal aid but on a low income. For those who have been turned away by charity organisations, due to lack of funds or staff.

We agree that this is unfair; when you have nowhere to turn to for support or direction, we provide guidance and consultation to help you look at your problem. We help you to help yourself.

We believe turning people away is not helping our community and society. Under the ongoing financial crisis, we still need affordable professional services. Services that find solutions to problems people face every day. An organisation promoting equality and fair justice, and strives to build a stronger community.

We are who we are because we care

We know how it feels to need support, we understand the need for advice centres, and we go above and beyond to provide services such as outreach, not only to your home but also to your appointments when you need someone on your side, such as doctor’s appointments or Department of Works & Pensions (DWP) assessment centres.

Our unique and much needed services provide help to each and every individual who comes to us for any reason. We can assist with form filling, outreach requests or ensuring the you receive the right benefits. We also cover housing help, Personal Independent Payments (PIP) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) claims and more . Listening and understanding your story is key in offering you the right help. We promise to do everything possible for you, within the law. Our community recognises our honesty and support; we are proud to fight for people’s rights and entitlements.

This is what makes us different.

Charges

As a private advice centre, we do need to charge for our work, but these charges will be agreed with our client and can be deferred until their financial situation improves. We usually charge £50.00 consultation fee at the beginning. If the clients decide to go ahead with our services, that fee will go towards the service fees. If the clients decide not to go ahead with proposed services, the £50.00 fee will not be refundable.
